A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF BLOCK CHAIN AND TRADITIONAL ENCRYPTION TECHNIQUES FOR SECURING NETWORK COMMUNICATION
Abstract
With the rapid growth of digital communication, ensuring secure data transmission has become a critical concern. This study presents a comparative analysis of block chain technology and traditional encryption techniques in securing network communication. Traditional encryption methods, such as symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, have long been used to protect data confidentiality and integrity. However, they often rely on centralized systems, which may be vulnerable to single points of failure. In contrast, block chain introduces a decentralized framework that enhances transparency, immutability, and resistance to tampering. This research evaluates both approaches based on security strength, scalability, performance, and implementation complexity. The findings suggest that while traditional encryption remains efficient and widely applicable, block chain offers stronger resilience against certain cyber threats, particularly in distributed environments. The study highlights the potential of integrating both techniques to achieve a more robust and adaptive security model for modern network systems.
